We know that living "green" isn't easy and we also know that a lot of people are doing their best and are always looking at ways that they can do a little better.
Green Home was developed to support and advise people on ways to run their home and live sustainably - focusing on the main themes of waste, energy, water and transport.
Green Home is the perfect way for households to see how they are currently running their homes, in terms of environmental choices, and to plan how to improve their behaviour and choices in a more sustainable manner.
Getting involved couldn’t be easier. Using the Green Home Themes tab at the top of the page, you can access the most current and up to date tips, advice and action plans on ways to prevent and reduce waste and energy use in the home, conserve water and find out about sustainable travel options.
It easy to find out how environmentally sustainable your home is – just complete the Green Home Survey (link to survey) to see your results. Once you have your results, you can see what areas you need to focus on and use the information & advice in this website to start making changes. You can then take the same survey again, a few months down the line, and see how your scores improved.
Anyone can become involved with Green Home; individual households, community groups, Tidy Towns groups, schools, colleges, teachers and business staff!
